Disability Lesotho

From the editor

Dear Partner,
Welcome once again to the edition of Disability Lesotho. Disability Lesotho is a platform whereby persons with disabilities, Disabled People’s Organisations and Individuals are sharing their views on issues of disability. This edition is covering news for the Month of May, 2019
Investing in women and girls, is a proven path to reduce poverty. I think empowering women and girls to rise out of poverty is essential for the sustainable development of any country. Lesotho faces a number of challenges in achieving equality between men and women.

I have been going so many places, whereby women and girls are playing huge roles to reduce poverty. Most of them are working hard to the extent that can triple their job in order to feed their children. If companies can understand that women are powerful to change things, it can be easy for those companies to help women with start-up packages for their businesses. My plea to all companies dealing with finances, have foundations to support people to turn their eyes to women and girls especially women and girls with disabilities, as they seem to taking care of many families besides theirs.

Lets all take role to empower girls and women, engage women and girls at the beginning of everything, so that can change our entire World. If you would like to contribute to the next issue or have received this newsletter from a third party and wish to be included on the mailing list please contact Pascalina Letsau on (+266) 5905 5406 or pletsau@gmail.com
